ecoTools Giveaway!

I have been meaning to post this giveaway for a while, but tiredness and the TV show "Psych" get in the way. By the way, did anyone see the season finale? Any insights you care to share? The very end totally threw me off.

Anyway, The promoters of ecoTools were nice enough to provide two brand-spanking new 6-piece Bamboo Eye brush sets to give away to my readers. Click here to see the pictures and review of the brush set. I didn't have the best luck, but this doesn't mean that the winners will have the same result.

The kind people who provided these new sets also led me to several youtube videos that share great beginner tips about makeup application using ecoTools brushes. I have included the videos for your viewing pleasure. I like the videos because they are direct, clear and short. As a matter of fact, I use the same technique to create a cat eye, and it took me years to figure out exactly how to do it this way. I wish this video existed when I was learning the technique.

Here are the videos (bear with me, this is the first time I have embedded video):
"Cat Eye"

"Flawless Face"

"Smokey Eye" (featuring the 6-piece set)

"Touch up Face" (featuring the 6-piece set)

Okay, so here are the ground rules for the giveaway:

1) Become a follower, if you aren't one already. (The follow button in on the sidebar.)

2) View the makeup application videos on youtube featured above.

3) Leave a comment in the comment section under this post, and share your favorite tip from one of the videos (or all of them). Also, leave your first name, and an email where I can contact you. If you want to keep your email private, be sure to email me your info. (email in the sidebar)

4) Cross your fingers, spin around twice, and watch five episodes of Gilmore Girls (just kidding! Just wait for the results.)

The Deadline to enter is March 26, 2010 at 11:59 pm est.

There will be two winners, they will be chosen at random, and I will contact the winners before announcing. If the winner doesn't respond, I will draw again. This time the contest will be open to the US and its "territories" (PR, Guam, American Samoa, US Virgin Islands, etc.).

Good luck!

Ooh, enter me please! :) My email address is shaobeibei [at] ymail.com, and I have to say, I never thought about using the tip of my concealer brush to apply concealer. *fail* Anyway, for a first name you can just use Shao.

My favorite tip from the videos above is one from the touch-ups video: you can use a fluffy eyeshadow brush by itself to smooth out creasing! I'm a google reader subscriber =]

I definitely love the tip about blending out creasing for a touch-up rather than re-applying eyeshadow entirely. Will definitely have to try it.

My fav tip would be using the Ecotools Retractable Kabuki brush to apply blush and bronzer! I have this brush, but I've only been using it for mineral foundation, so now I'm excited to see how it works as a blush/bronzer brush! It'll be great to bring with me in my bag so I can touch up my blush throughout the day.

Thank you so much for doing this contest!!
